Tiniest Technical Trouble Can Spell Random Catastrophe For A Person & Their Loved Ones – IMRAN™

One killed as Southwest Airlines’ Boeing jet makes emergency landing in Philadelphia

I was saddened to read this breaking #news from NBC News. “One killed as Southwest AirlinesBoeing jet makes emergency landing in Philadelphia“.
The cause is not yet unknown and I am no aviation accident expert, but the photos show some sort of apparent catastrophic engine failure shredding the engine and pieces of it ripping into the cabin.
I regularly fly #Southwest in and out of LaGuardia Airport so I can imagine how random this was and how it could happen to anybody.
RIP lost fellow flier that lost their life today.
I wonder if #Trump will take responsibility for this considering he claimed credit for there being no airline fatalities last year.

Farewell Jerry Lewis – IMRAN™

Jerry Lewis, 91, passes away. RIP.

Jerry Lewis, 91, passes away. RIP.

His movies were mostly slapstick and almost always had the same formula, but as kids we loved watching his goofball comedy movies on TV in Pakistan.

What movies of his do you remember and enjoyed the most?

His best role came later in life with charity work.

(Still The) World’s Most Powerful Medium! – IMRAN™

Stay tuned… television imagery may become holographic or directly tuned into our heads one day in the future, but TV is here to stay.

#TelevisionIn4Words is a trending hashtag on Twitter right now. I contributed to that stream with:

“World’s Most Powerful Medium!”
Yes, better believe it, it still is.
You get, as I tagged the post, “#media #news #entertainment #opinion #history #music #comedy #politics #sports #weather” all in one ‘box’!
How many heads of state, or sports champions, or politicians, or businessmen, refuse to be interviewed for TV and say, “No, no TV interviews, tweet me or ask me on FaceBook.” ?
Much that many of us complain about how TV quality sucks these days, very few spend hours daily watching TV reruns from the ‘good old days’. If anything, more and more global citizens are now getting and experiencing the power of television.
Its influence will get even greater as even greater network bandwidth and Internet technology takes global TV to every corner where traditional TV antenna broadcasts could not reach.
And, news flash for those who claim that TV is dead. When you watch video programming, dramas, sports, music, and entertainment on your iPad or smartphone, you are still watching ‘television‘ programming, even if you are not sitting in front of a television set.
Just because the shape and size of the screen change, it does not mean the medium has died.
Stay tuned… television imagery may become holographic or directly tuned into our heads one day in the future, but TV is here to stay. In many ways, it is up to the television industry on how much of the best is still to come.
What do you think?

Is That A “Doctorate” In/And Journalism Degree In Your Pocket? – IMRAN™

I am curious about the medical qualifications of your writer. Are they a forensics expert? I am also curious about their professional journalism qualifications.

Dark Justice & Death In The Air – IMRAN™

But that’s still bad news for all airlines and innocent fliers around the world. (This was posted the day the Russian airliner was shot down and my analysis was proven correct).

I love #flying and I hate #terrorism, especially attacks targeting passenger airliners. But #Russia shot down a #Japan Airlines jumbo jet and its thuggish agents in #Ukraine shot down a #Malaysia Airlines passenger plane on the same airway I had flown just 2 days before the state terror attack by Russia. But there would be a certain dark justice if it was a missile that hit their plane that blew up over #Egypt. I suspect #ISIS.but it’s not known yet. But that’s still bad news for all airlines and innocent fliers around the world. (This was posted the day the Russian airliner was shot down and my analysis was proven correct).

Let There Be Consequences To Treason

Pakistanis have awakened, the rule of law is getting established in the echelons of power, and that in time Pakistan can be a strong, stable, moderate democracy and a regional power of good.

I have always been a supporter of democracy, imperfect as it is, over all forms of dictatorship and tyranny, whether ‘benevolent dictators‘ or hypocritical Kings supposedly custodians of holy places.

One reason Pakistan has always been overrun by its own military was that there were never any consequences to the military people who broke the constitution.

As in every society, sycophants will crawl at the feet of whoever has power, regardless of how evil or how illegal the dictator may be.

The worst cancer of religious intolerance, extremism and terrorism was injected into Pakistani society more than 30 years ago by the vile General Zia, who turned Islam into a weapon against democracy and moderation.

It was with a sense of hope that I read this news item today. Former #Pakistan Dictator Pervez Musharraf indicted on Treason!

General Musharaff was not bad as far as dictators go, and even did a few good things. Of course, he let power go to his head and paid the price. Even after being ousted he was delusional enough to return to Pakistan expecting to win back power.

I do not wish to see him condemned to death or anything that would be too extreme.

But, may this be a good start to the concept of “actions have consequences” and “no one is above the law” that Pakistan has long needed.

More than teaching Musharaff a lesson, I hope this teaches all politicians, and military people, that Pakistanis have awakened, the rule of law is getting established in the echelons of power, and that in time Pakistan can be a strong, stable, moderate democracy and a regional power of good. Amen.
