Does Science Prevent Or Prove The Existence Of God? – IMRAN™

Posted by imrananwar on January 7, 2016

“Afalaa Tatafakaroon”. Will You Not Think? That is a line in the Holy Quran .

I pray Oh God, Help Us Understand The Secrets Of Science & The Universe, So We Understand You!

I am sure other holy books have similar statements about using our minds. But for some reason, a lot that modern organized religions seem to be do is make people close their minds and blindly follow whatever some smooth talking preachers built up as ‘The Truth‘ over the last few centuries. The truth is, we are far from understanding the ultimate truths of the Universe .

I am sure you are among the many educated people who believe in Science but also believe in God the Omnipotent Creator. “Science Increasingly Makes the Case for God” is an interesting article though it does not have enough information to fully live up to its headline, but it is a useful point of reference in The Wall Street Journal.

I’ve always believed that not only is the truth out there, but also that is it not going to be one or other extreme of Science No God versus God No Evolution etc. Instead, it will be a combination or the two, or likely, even of things we do not even yet comprehend which do not fall under science or religion .

The more I studied science and even engineering , the more ridiculous it seemed to me to believe in pure random creation of the universe, purely randomly leading to Earth ‘s creation, purely randomly leading to life and purely randomly leading to humans.

How many times do I have smash some rubber, glass, steel, carbon fiber, and plastic together to create a perfect Ferrari ? I refuse to believe that any of my beloved beautiful loves and their gifts of unconditional love submitted to me, or for that matter, the perfection of Charlize Theron, are random accidents. 😉

Nor do I blindly believe that some texts collected over the last 2000 years when people did not even understand the nature of science, are somehow the most accurate depictions of the Universe.

They are powerful books with stories to help us ideally be better human beings (if you take out the parts about killing others that almost all the books of the time command).

No, people, the earth is more than 5000 years old, just like the sun does NOT revolve around the earth. There IS evolution that takes place and genetic changes and mutations that are being recorded by science based on our current state of life and the planet. But, no, evolution is likely not the source of the perfect imperfection we call human life.

In their insistence of There Is No God, it seems that even supposedly people gets almost as rabidly fanatical as any Bible-thumping persons who believe that God created the Earth 5000 years ago or something like that, refuting evolution, while believing a man could walk on water and bring the dead back to life, and more.

Many believe in angels too. The truth is likely a combination of things is a blend of the two and maybe even more. Maybe God is the Creator of this Universe, as the grand designer of his project… maybe Angels are his engineers, and project managers,… maybe the day he shuts down the project for recycling is the day of judgement.

But, then, who does he work for? Who created HIM? And what giant box does the Universe fit inside that may be part of a larger Multiverse , which may be one of many in an Omniverse … and so on.

Knowing the infinite depth of our ignorance, even our inability to fathom the concepts that would entail, is another of the gifts of the Creator, to use our MINDS to even measure what we do NOT know.

We should not just blindly parrot things we were religiously brainwashed into believing as children . We must, instead, try to figure out the mysteries of science, if we are to ever figure out the mystery of the universe, which in turn may help us get closer to understanding the mystery of the most supreme scientist of all, God!

What do you think?

The Islamic call to prayer, Azaan, recorded during my Umrah during Hajj season, on Friday (Juma) at night prayer (Isha) time. I was able to say all 5 prayers in Mecca on this Friday. A blessed experience that remains with me for a lifetime.

Empire Of The Sun – IMRAN™

Posted by imrananwar on October 25, 2011

Empire Of The Sun is a 1987 movie, directed by Steven Spielberg, which came out during the years of my first arriving in the USA, and settling into New York City. Then, more than 2 decades flew by. As a result, it is still on my list of movies to see.

But, that title has always remained with me. Even as I captured this breathtaking, SOOC (Straight Out Of Camera {except framing and titling} unedited, unprocessed), photograph.

It was taken from my yacht, in Biscayne Bay, returning from the Atlantic Ocean, on what had initially appeared to be a gray afternoon.

My then companion and I almost decided not to go out, but, a day of boating, on the ocean, beats a day driving around town. So, off we went.

As we headed back towards home port, in Coral Gables, Florida, timing the crossing of the channel to coincide with the sunset hour, I planned to capture the abandoned homes of Stiltsville silhouetted against the sun.

The sun was getting more rich, the haze more like natural camera filters. The clouds were really layered like thin muslin sheets across different distances and altitudes, creating a once in a million year combination of patterns, colors, hues and shades.

I had no idea, that without any skill on my part 🙂 , the Nikon D300, and the f/14 1/800 second ISO200 0eV exposures would lead to possibly the most stunning series of photos I had ever captured in my life.

Some will need to be straightened because I was slowly letting the Sea Ray Sundancer drift, its twin 8.1 liter Mercruiser engines idling, as I both maneuvered the boat with one hand to position the boat, and clicked the camera with the other hand, to capture the sun from different angles, and from between and behind different structures. The water was choppy.

As I stood in the cockpit, with no vessel or persons around me for miles, the vast openness of the darkening Atlantic Ocean to my left, other homes of Stiltsville behind me, choppy waters of Biscayne Bay and the Miami skyline to my right, with no other souls in sight…

I gazed at the sight that lay ahead…

And, it made me gasp out to the Creator, “Oh, My God!”

I felt what I was, and remain…. a humble, insignificant, man, in front of nature, and God.

But, also, in that same moment of clarity I knew…

I am the master of my fate, the captain of my soul, the architect of my destiny. And, some of the brightest visions lie behind the darkest clouds, saddest scenes, and foreboding skies.

At that spot, in that moment in time, I realized…

I am the ruler…. of my own Empire Of The Sun.

Oh, God! Perfect Stillness, Ablaze In Stunning Red & Pastel Sunset Shades

Posted by imrananwar on July 29, 2009

Perfect Stillness, My Home Boat Slip, Ablaze In Stunning Red & Pastel Sunset Shades - IMRAN™

I am so blessed. All my life, despite ups and downs, at no stage has God not granted me every wish I have had. Some have taken longer than others. Some have been won and lost, but nearly every single wish has been granted and I know the best is yet to come.

This picture of my boat slip at home, in East Patchogue, Long Island, New York has its own messages hidden in plain view.

How can we not, then, see the power of God moving in every moment of stillness around me? How can we not see the brilliance of his work deep inside every shadow?

Even when something seems upside down, is it not merely a reflection of something beautiful right above and ahead?

Thank you, God.

Fire Bird Birth From Fiery Sun & Dark Clouds, The Razor’s Edge Of Hope & Miracle

Posted by imrananwar on July 16, 2009

Fire Bird Birth From Fiery Sun OR Flying Into A Dark But Bright Future - IMRAN™

Fire Bird Birth From Fiery Sun OR Flying Into A Dark But Bright Future?

Is it the birth by fire of a new Fire Bird? Or a dark angel looming above, bringing misgivings? Or the power of dreams flying into a dark, monstrous, malevolent cloud formation — just beyond which is the promise of pure light and brightness. And just beyond that, visions of God?

The thunder cloud’s malevolence separated from the life-giving sun by the razor edge of hope and miracle. A possibility of coming out from storms into the light, however briefly, at least until the final sunset on a life of fantastic flights of fantasy.

Or a little bit of it all?

Smith Point Beach in Long Island, NY is a favorite place of mine to catch sunsets over expansive vistas of water. This time we were there ahead of time and I shot some pictures waiting for the sun to set.

As this bird came towards me, somewhat like the apparition of one Alexander the Great sees in the movie ALEXANDER, the silhouette came into focus. I clicked and snapped a mesmerizing image.

Ominous Dark Clouds, Storms Above & Around, Gold Lining Too Far, Soon Overcome By Darkness – IMRAN

Posted by imrananwar on June 28, 2009

Ominous Dark Clouds, Storms Above & Around, Gold Lining Too Far, Soon Overcome By Darkness - IMRAN™ /Read Below

By Imran Anwar

We always hear about how every dark cloud has a silver lining.

But what do you do if there are nothing but dark clouds, ominous, rolling in. Lower and lower, literally falling to 20 feet above the ground. Every peal of thunder and every ring of the telephone, bringing more destructive forces beyond our imagination and control, shaking and uprooting what comes in their path.

As this masive, thunderous storm struck out at Long Island I was hit by two severe economic jolts, shaking my house, and the future of my home, to their foundations in every sense.

There was no single dark cloud with a silver lining. This was as bright as the evening was going to get, deep soul-chilling darkness, rolling in right behind, above, within and all around the ominous clouds.

In the distance, not Silver but a Gold lining, above Fire Island. So close, but just far enough not to save the sinking ship of drowning dreams.

And soon even that ray of hope, lining of Gold, the sliver of remaining faith, first glistening with promise, then dulled and eventually overcome by the sheer forces of darkness, disappeared from view, leaving a uniform dark shroud… Fade To Grey.

No man is an island, but with dreams on fire, and a storm above, even the strongest resolve can be shaken. The pain. The loss. The efforts and work of a lifetime, lost in the process.

I know, this is nothing. It will get worse. Much worse. It could always be even worse, and I am thankful I have all that I have within me, a gift of God.

I shall rebuild. I have no choice. I shall rise again. Because that is who I am. And shall remain as long as I live. So help me God.

Hope that helps.

A full moon here was making stars less visible but a short while ago I was enjoying looking at Orion’s Belt. Good thing stars are not like men, or that waist would be expanding. Wait a second, the universe is expanding. Does that mean Orion’s belt and waist are also expanding. OK, I give up. Back to seeing stars. LOL

Illuminati it’s in the dictionary. Small group of wealthy individuals. Who own all the land, oil, gold, knowledge, information, corporations, media, resources, etc. Your rockefellers, buffets, murdochs, gates, etc.

I think supporters of current “administration” and Bush and Palin-2012 want dark forces (like Cheney), voices in the President’s head (preferably Jesus now starts calling next Republican instead of Bush), and obliterati (bomb anyone to divert attention from domestic issues).

From Frank:
re: Redistribution of wealth in simple terms

Give it some SERIOUS thought! Not far off.

Today on my way to lunch I passed a homeless guy with
a sign that read ‘Vote Obama, I need the money.’ I laughed.

Once in the restaurant my server had on a ‘Obama 08’ tie,

again I laughed as he had given away his political
preference–just imagine the coincidence.

When the bill came I decided not to tip the server and
explained to him that I was exploring the Obama redistribution

of wealth concept. He stood there in disbelief while I told him

that I was going to redistribute his tip to someone who
I deemed more in need–the homeless guy outside. The
server angrily stormed from my sight.

I went outside, gave the homeless guy $10 and told him to
thank the server inside as I’ve decided he could use the
money more. The homeless guy was grateful.

At the end of my rather unscientific redistribution experiment I
realized the homeless guy was grateful for the money he did not

earn, but the waiter was pretty angry that I gave away the money

he did earn even though the actual recipient deserved money more.

I guess redistribution of wealth is an easier thing to swallow in
concept than in practical application.

OR IS IT…REDISTRIBUTION OF SOMEONE ELSE’S
WEALTH IS A GREAT IDEA…..
