Euro Stairway To Heaven – IMRAN™

Posted by imrananwar on July 24, 2017

Thanks to my beautiful beloved companion Shasha for the many awesome photos she took of me during our amazing time together in Berlin, Germany, five years ago.

She took this candid photo by calling out to me as I was going up a staircase to see if this place was worth exploring. I had made this trip to Germany EXACTLY 25 Years after my first visit there.

Smooth Power Of TakeOff Doha To New York – IMRAN™

Posted by imrananwar on June 22, 2017

My most recent trip to visit my siblings was on our beloved late mother’s 25 death anniversary. I got a great round trip airfare flying on Qatar Airways, JFK New York to Lahore with stops in Doha, Qatar each way. Great new planes and fares but I can honestly say Etihad Airways and Emirates service is far better. The airport itself was boring and the staff was unpleasant and least bothered about service with a smile overall. I managed to capture this video taking off from Doha taking off for NY. Check out the incredible water colors of the Khaleej, the Gulf, there. And enjoy the airflow becoming visible over the wings as moisture left a visible trail. Some idiots would insist that was “chemtrails” if they saw it from the ground. 😄😄

Radio City Music Hall Manhattan Street Scene – IMRAN™ (360° Interactive VR 4π Panorama)

Radio City Music Hall Manhattan Street Scene - IMRAN™ (360° 4π Panorama)

(Click to see the interactive virtual reality experience.) I had stepped out of my then office on 52nd Street near Radio City Music Hall when I took shot this handheld panorama on an iPhone 4S.

Unfortunately even four years later, with PhotoShop CC 2017 the program fails to properly stitch actual Spherical panoramas.

Doing the upper view accurately would take too long so I hope you will just enjoy the street scene with some inaccurate processing above my name.

Drone Flying At Dusk, Nightfall On Tampa Bay Florida 360° VR TimeLapse – IMRAN™

Drone Flying At Dusk, Nightfall On Tampa Bay Florida 360° VR TimeLapse – IMRAN™

View in your VR glasses for a 360° view! OR just play in YouTube or FaceBook and rotate the phone. OR swipe with your fingers to rotate left and right to see the full scene as if you are standing there with me. This is an absolutely unedited timelapse video from Nikon KeyMission 360 as I flew my drone at home in Apollo Beach, Florida, to capture 4K video of the dusk while the Nikon camera took five sets of 10 seconds long timelapse clips. You will see the drone takeoff, and land, while boats and birds go by while fish in the water gather around the green lights I installed. I simply combined the 5 clips in iMovie with NO editing or processing of ANY colors of ANY kind. SOOC video. I simply added music, titles, transitions and exported the file. Enjoy!

The Fountain / Head – IMRAN™

Posted by imrananwar on April 5, 2016

The photo title is derived from the famous book by Ayn Rand, but the reason I walked many miles to get to this place, Fontaine Molière, on Rue Thérèse, with my companion during our trip to Paris, France, was to salute another even bigger literary giant.
Jean-Baptiste Poquelin, better known as Molière, was born nearly 400 years ago, on 15 January 1622. He was a French playwright, comedian, writer and actor who is considered to be one of the greatest masters of comedy in Western literature.

He was loved by the French King Louis XIV, but was hated by the Church for his ridiculing the hypocrites ruling religion. He died on 17 February 1673, a few hours after doing a performance of his final play, ironically, about a hypochondriac.

His works, and his legacy, live on for the ages.

New Moon At Golden Dusk Over Golden Gate Bridge(s) Day & Night – IMRAN™

New Moon At Golden Dusk Over Golden Gate Bridge(s) Day & Night - IMRAN™

There are so many different vantage points and so many different lighting conditions to photograph the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco, California. I have always only managed to catch a quick shot now and then during usually hurried short trips there for the last 26 years. This one was a particular stunning sight as the golden pink dusk settled in over the dark silhouette of the mountains and the new moon was sharply visible in the sky as bright as the headlights of drivers making their way across the bridge. As the monumental structures bridged the cities across the bay, the moon and dusk bridged the ending day and coming night.

Berliner Dom DOMinating Berlin Sky - IMRAN™

Berliner Dom DOMinating Berlin Sky – IMRAN™ on Flickr.

I love Berlin, Germany, and every time I am in Berlin since my first visit 27 years ago, I always enjoy visiting the Lustgarten area and seeing this imposing structure of the Berliner Dom.

I was able to take this awesome composite photo by combining a few photos taken with my Windows Phone Lumia 1020 and photmerging them in Photoshop. It is amazing how much detail can be see if you view the 55 MB 11000×7800 pixel image on a giant screen.

Golden Moment In Big Bend Of Modern Times & A Gilded Age – IMRAN™

Posted by imrananwar on August 17, 2014

Golden Moment In Big Bend Of Modern Times & A Gilded Age - IMRAN™

A golden moment in time I captured during my recent visit to London, England, after 22 years.

As the hands of time complete their turns on the Big Ben’s clock face, the face of London continues to evolve.

The changes were so marked in the 22 years between my 2 visits, I can only wonder what someone from an older more gilded age would think, if we could turn back time, or cause a bend in the space and time continuum.

Definitely something to keep a(n) (London) Eye on!

The Bridge To The Sun – IMRAN™

Posted by imrananwar on January 2, 2013

We can go through decades of life and the realize how quickly the days of our lives flew by. I wonder if the sun, hurtling on its own one-way ticket to burning out in the heavens one day, wonders how quickly its own billions of years of existence have flown by.

The last few weeks, months, even the year, have been a blur… of downs and ups, of sorrows and joys, despair and hope, but above all, a certain knowledge of how blessed this amazing life has been, and seeing dreams start turning to reality in front of my eyes.

An irony of these few weeks has been the destruction of the boardwalk to my beach here on Long Island, due to hurricane Sandy. The debris on the alternate path kept me from visiting the beach as much as before, so, I did not catch as many sunsets at the beach as before. Last night, well, just 5 PM EST really, I braved the really cold wind, and walking over debris fields, fallen tree trunks and treacherous piles of wood, to step back onto my home beach that I have been blessed to live at for nearly 20 years.

And, I saw the ironic imagery of how the setting sun’s burning orb colors were exactly touching the tip of the bridge 17 miles away that the Nikon D300 and Nikkor 300mm (450mm eq) lens caught even with my trembling cold hands.

The Bridge To The Sun, which is the bridge to what makes our lives possible on earth, which are the bridge from when we are born to when our sun sets, and we, once born from stars, burn out in the cosmic winds leaving behind, we hope, shining images in the memories of those who love us, even better replicas of us in those whom we give birth to, and our deeds, and how we made people feel, and how we lived, laughed and loved to our last breaths…..

Lv LV Or Lv LV — IMRAN™

Posted by imrananwar on September 4, 2012

Love Lois Vuitton Or Leave It, one does have to appreciate the unique look and style of the LV Store on 5th Avenue in Manhattan, New York.

This photo was actually stitched from 6 iPhone 4S pictures on the iPhone standing right outside the building, later imported into iPhoto on my MacBook Pro, and then processed in Photoshop CS6, before being saved as merely a 2.2 MB file.
